Kin Phea, Director-General of the Royal Academy of Cambodia’s International Relations Institute, said that ASEAN countries have different views on the Myanmar crisis and are split over what course of action to take to address the issues.
“The mainland ASEAN countries share many similarities and political cultures and know how to address such crises,” he said.
Phea said the engagement of Myanmar’s junta leaders is an opportunity for them to explain the situation of their country and “ASEAN countries can push and encourage them to implement the 5PC.”
