Phnom Penh, January 04, 2019 —
Royal Government of Cambodia will release wage twice a month to civil servants, contracted staff, retired officials and dependents commencing January this year.
The new payment practice had been proposed particularly to support workers with low salary to enable them to better manage their expenditures.
Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training is leading the payment practice and has formulated the guideline for other agencies to do the same.
Based on the government’s circulation, the bi-monthly payment will be made during the second and fourth week of the month.
