DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un arrives in Vietnam

DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un arrives in Vietnam on February 26, 2019, for the second DPRK-US Summit and an official friendship visit to Vietnam.

DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un arrived at the Dong Dang Railway Station in the northern border province of Lang Son on Tuesday morning, beginning a trip to Vietnam to attend the second DPRK-USA Summit and an official friendship visit to the country.

Thousands of local people held the national flags of Vietnam and the DPRK and flowers to welcome Mr. Kim at the Dong Dang Station. The second DPRK-USA Summit will take place in the capital city of Hanoi on Wednesday and Thursday. It is considered an important political and external event of Vietnam in 2019, manifesting its foreign policy of “being a friend and reliable partner of the international community”. Vietnam and the DPRK officially established diplomatic relations in 1950.
